We are a group of passionate citizens that care about your health. Our site’s objective is to teach people how to responsibly purchase and consume supplements. We’re supplement buyers ourselves, just like millions of other Americans. Some of my favorite supplements are creatine, CBD oil, protein powder, vitamin B-12, kratom, and kava. These are just my personal favorites and they all have their ups and downs.
I’m going to cover all of them on my blog. If you’re interested in trying them, please do research outside of this blog along with reading our articles. It’s better to get a multitude of opinions, not just one. One person can be right or wrong, but it’s a coin toss. If you read 10 reputable blogs, you have a better chance at forming a good opinion.
Our mission is to help Americans find and evaluate the efficacy of dietary supplements.
It’s a lot harder than it sounds. Our opinions are just opinions, so you have the right to disagree or agree with us. What we say isn’t law. However, we have extensive experience with all of the supplements we cover. We use every supplement covered on this blog. That is my promise to you. I will never cover a supplement that I have not used. To do so would be misleading. You can read an article yourself, you don’t need me to re-summarize an article.
I’m here to share my experience, and add in information from research that may not support, or support my findings. Objectivity is something that is important to me. If I experience a benefit that research doesn’t support, I will tell you that the benefit I experienced is not supported by research. It’s important to be crystal clear so you’re not lead astray.
Here’s how we test supplements. First we research a prospective supplement. This phase can be anywhere from one day to several months. It depends on the quality of research available. If we can’t find reputable studies, then we may wait for them to come out before trying them. Surprisingly, a lot of supplements have been studied for decades, but the information isn’t on the 9 o’clock news. When we look hard enough, we can usually find it.
Sometimes a supplement has been studied extensively, and we’re able to make a decision on whether we should try it or not fairly fast. In such cases, we may order it on the same day we began to evaluate it.
Before I write about my experience, I will test the supplement for at least one month. I don’t want to know how well it works for one day, I want to know how well it works for a month or more. It would be great to know how well it works for a decade or more, but that’s out of the scope of this website.
At last, always keep our articles in perspective. They are just the opinion of some supplement lovers and critics. Keep it light, keep it fun, and remember, the FDA has not evaluated any of our articles or supplements on our site (as of yet). They are not meant to treat or cure any illnesses. Always consult with your primary physician before taking any new supplements.
